About BBQs & More

Mitchell Stronge, founder of BBQ's & More based in Auckland, is a very colourful character, with a great passion for entertaining and engineering. He founded and owned Capital Racking Systems in 1990; a company that manufactured shelving and logistics systems. He sold this company in 2006 to free up his time to pursue his other interests.

"Over my career as a manufacturing engineer, I've learned alot about design and engineering. This knowledge combined with my love of entertaining, particularly casual relaxed outdoor living, made me look for an way to merge these two passions into a business. So I went looking throughout the world for the best value products. When I found these, I just knew these were the ones. They absolutely stood out above the rest based on their quality, visual appeal, function and engineering workmanship. They are sensational!"

So here was the next challenge for Mitchell. How to provide them to the New Zealand market at excellent value for money? "I decided that I needed to remove the middle man and take out the big margins found in the normal retail channels by importing and selling directly to the public."
